The short answer
When Aura recognizes a verification code in a supported SMS, use its copy action, return to the app or website where you started signing in, and paste the code there. Detection depends on the message format.
Keep the sign-in context in view
A verification SMS can arrive while you are signing in or confirming an action. Aura provides detected-code copying for supported messages, so you can move the recognized code into the service you are using.
This is a copying convenience. It does not sign you in, approve a payment or verify that the sender is genuine.
Copy only a code you were expecting
- Start the sign-in or verification in the app or website you intended to use.
- Open the relevant SMS in Aura and check which service and action it describes.
- If Aura detects the code, use the available copy action. Otherwise, read the original message and enter it yourself.
- Return to the original service and enter the code before that service's expiry time.
If recognition or delivery does not work
Code recognition can miss an unfamiliar format or identify the wrong number. Check the original SMS before using a detected value. Aura does not control the service's code expiry, delivery speed or resend limits.
If no SMS arrived, confirm the phone number and carrier connection and follow the sending service's recovery instructions. Copying tools cannot retrieve a message your phone has not received.
A code is a secret, not a support attachment
Do not share a one-time code with someone who calls or messages asking for it. Use codes only in the service and action you initiated. An unexpected code is not a reason to reply with it.
When reporting an Aura issue, describe the format with a fictional example. Do not send the original code, a password, a private conversation or financial details to support. The screenshots on this site use fictional demo content.
